Christmas in July!

I can't believe we are officially halfway through 2025! (Well, technically Half-way Day is July 2nd, but we could be there depending on when you're reading this!) It feels like I've been doing a hundred things a day and also ... nothing. Slow progress is still progress, but I'll be honest: I much prefer when there's BIG progress.
Summer is typically one of the craziest times of the year for us personally. I'm not kidding when I say we have a birthday or anniversary or holiday every weekend. Sometimes more than one of those, too! Just last month we had my birthday, two nephews' birthdays, and Father's Day. In July there are seven birthdays and the 4th of July. So my time online on the weekends interacting with everyone drops significantly during the summer.
This also means my writing time in the summer drops as we're out of the house almost every Saturday for most of the day. I still get some writing in, but not nearly as much as I would like. This is making the progress on Fake Out (6th Man Series #4) a lot slower than I want. This couple is screaming at me to get their story out and it feels like there's just not enough time in the day. But I do have some good news for you. If you're a newsletter or blog subscriber, then you'll be the first ones to see the COVER REVEAL of Fake Out!

That's right! We have a cover! I love it so much. Last month, on my IG page, I shared the blurb, but here it is --just in case you missed it.
Justin “JP” Parker
My friends are falling like bugs in a flea bath. One by one, they’ve wifed up and— while I love their partners, consider them sisters— I’m not ready for the responsibility being in a relationship comes with. It’s my senior year! That means girls and games on repeat. I’m not expecting the outgoing blonde bombshell from the bar to be anything more. Funny that…
Honey Turner
I’m a conundrum. That’s the southern way of saying I’m a problem child with a pretty face. My All-American, girl-next-door looks have gotten me out of more hiccups than I care to cop to. More than Mom and Dad want to admit, too. But after a truly epic muck up at my last university leaves me standing on the precipice of achieving my dreams or facing a total crash and burn, I’m bound and determined to get myself together. It’s just… what can it hurt to have a final bang before I clean up my act?
Except my hot-and-heavy hurrah with the cocky basketball player comes to a halt faster than a good offensive screen when Dad unexpectedly shows up to my apartment the morning after my one night with JP. Instead of running for the hills seeing his coach on the other side of the door, JP saves me—by pretending to be my boyfriend.
Fake dating JP is a win-win. Together we’ll have Dad believing we’ve both cleaned up our acts. So why does it start to feel less fake …
And more like we’ve faked out ourselves?
Audiobooks

In line with the whole 6th Man series thing, I wanted to share the both Man Coverage and In The Zone will be releasing on Audible this month! Jennifer Walls is back giving us Becky & Beau's story. For Spencer and Ryleigh, I was incredibly lucky to have Louise Cooksey narrate their story. Both women have made my heart full with the care and commitment they've given these stories and I cannot WAIT for you to get even more of the Franklin U Hawks's players and their smart-and-sassy partners.
Do I know when exactly? No, of course not. lol But I will be sending out emails as soon as ACX releases them into the audiobook-wild.
Now Live!
Not only are these two college basketball romances set to release in July, BUT ALSO my insta-lust, stranded for a week with one bed, BDSM experimenting romance set between Christmas and New Years. Have I mentioned Playing Hooky features an Irishman? Paxton Hite narrates Hooky and ho boy! Are you in for a treat! Early listeners are loving his accent--especially on those spicy scenes! I think you're going to enjoy this one. A perfect way to get that Christmas in July feeling.
Playing Hooky is OFFICIALLY LIVE!! Go find Conor and Ginny's story over on Audible!
Christmas in July Sale!
Speaking of Christmas in July... How about gifting yourself the 6th Man Series books as well as Playing Hooky? This month only, these books will be on sale.
Full Court Press (6th Man Book 1) and Playing Hooky are just 99c --that's like $4 off each! Don't forget to grab Man Coverage and In The Zone while you're at it. They're only $2.99 this month.
You can find all four books at these prices on Amazon. Playing Hooky is the only one available on my website, though, since the 6th Man Series is still available on Kindle Unlimited.
Author Elevation Hub
I have added office hours and weekly writing sprints to my schedule as part of the Author Elevation Hub (The "Hub"). Every Tuesday and Thursday from 2-4pm, you can find me on our Discord. This community access space is available to all Hub Members of every level. During Office Hours, you can join the server and speak directly to me about questions or concerns you have. We can run some ideas. Or you can send me small sections of your current project that you're stuck on. Maybe you want some help with a more cohesive branding aesthetic? Well, this is the time!
On top of my office hours, I will also be doing weekly writing sprints. Each Wednesday from 12n - 2pm, I will be back on Discord, participating in the sprints. It's part of the reason I was able to get as many words in June as I did! Writing sprints are sort of like body doubling for us ADHD'ers.
If you think things like this, as well as any of the other services the Hub offers, are something you'd be interested in, reach out! I'd love to talk to you more about coaching opportunities, branding, Alpha reading, or any other of the numerous aspects of writing and being an author that we tend to trip up on.
