Um, 'Scusa Me @rebeccajenshak -- I'm conflicted.
I swore Jordan was my ultimate Book BF after reading Tutoring the Player. He has held that coveted spot for literal years! (2, to be exact). And now? Now I'm wavering between him and Knox!
Y'all. We met Knox in Tempting the Player. He's the cranky brother, the elusive bad boy... who stepped up for his family. The one who shouldered the burdens of 3 growing boys after his mom passed, dad dipped, and older brother chased his dreams. He wasn't one to give people a pass easily, but was committed as soon as he did give it. Jane drew him out of his shell a bit, just enough to give Avery the wiggle room she'd need to get under his skin.
Avery was injured after placing in the Olympics. She's no wallflower (insider pun. IYKYK). She's set to train Knox in gymnastics to help him further his still new career is a motocross racer. She puts him through his paces... and eventually he returns the favor!
The spice isn't the point of this story, but it's written so perfectly. I love the development of the relationship that allows the physical parts to come later. They build trust and friendship and banter before anything happens. And then, when they take that leap... 💥💥💥
I don't know what's in store for us with the rest of the Holland boys, but if Jenshak keeps giving us FMCs like Avery, I can't wait to see their stories unfold. Man... they're all in for some wild rides.
